Them Bones them Bones...
Francois Robert was at an auction in the mid 1990s and took home three lockers. Two of the lockers were empty, but the third one contained a real human skeleton which must have served as a teaching aid in a science class.
Robert realized that his skeleton was limited: it was wired together for display. He traded his skeleton for a disarticulated human skeleton online - a box containing 206 separate bones.
Manfred in the article that accompanied this collection of pictures ( and more) it was stated that the artist does associate the images he creates from the bones as having an association with death.
Absolutely Mims.. some of the things placed into the art genre Id tend to disagree lol
While I was looking at these articles yesterday, I came accross a really interesting Japanese shadow artist. If I am able I will collect some info and post it into blog form.. her work is pretty awesome.
thats so darn clever...
ReplyDeleteAre we to take from this that guns, weapons of war, Islam and Christianity should [sometimes, always or exclusively] be associated with death?
