Pretty In Pink...

wow.. it is stunning.

A rare pink diamond smashed the world record for a jewel at auction overnight, selling for more than $US46 million to a well-known gem dealer.London jeweller Laurence Graff paid $46,158,674, for the 24.78-carat "fancy intense pink" diamond, which he immediately named "The Graff Pink."

It's difficult to imagine a trinket could be worth so much money.

  2. Yes Shiela its stunning.. I wonder if the buyer will have it cut. He bought a rare, and very large Blue Diamond for a small fortune a few years back and had that recut... seems such a shame to recut it.

  6. Thank Shiela .. what a beauty. I loved the whole setting of the necklace. Whilst I was sitting there looking at it I was curious as to who has owned, worn it, perhaps even given it to the wearer.. Ill work on that.

    Thanks again

  9. The Auctioneers had not expected the diamond to sell for that price.. actually it was anticipated to sell for much less.
