Oil Painting in my Billiard Room at home

I posted this for Mimi.. Every time I have looked at that gorgeous picture you have taken entitled    "Kaput"     it reminds me of an oil painting we pruchased whilst in Queensland three years ago.  Thought I would show you Mims.

  2. Thankyu muchly!... Its different ...it's set in the Australian Bush, a bushfire. Its painted on ply wood, would you believe.. not canvas?.. so we didnt frame it.. its just the board.. I like the effect. Initially when I bought it I was going to put a sheet of non reflective glass accrooss it, overhanging the sides by a couple of inches all the way around... I was talked out of it (plus why spend the $$ when I could hang it as is??)
There were some similar landscapes painted in the same colours, in a set of three.. absolutely stunning.. same colours as I said but it was of sunset and the silhouette of black trees.. they were amazing.

  3. I bet they were. I agree with you, why pay money on a frame if you don't need to? But then again, it will last longer (the paint, the integrity of the piece, etc) if it is framed. Still, a beautiful painting! WOuld have loved to see the trees, I LOVE trees! XZXZ
