well, i like your post of missy's tune, but the doubt, legit as be it, concerns me a bit... so then, going on to your post of exile, woah, the way the guy looks right into my eyes at the beginning made me feel his love for me is true.. but i don't have time for him to kiss me all over so i kept going...
and i liked cassie's and some of the other tunes, but ohhhh my oh my, mindeskape's post of ingrid... that version just floored me... i'm going to spend some time tonight checking out more of ingrid's melodies.. that was simply beautiful...
and now, tho i'm tempted to post about a dozen, including al green, van morrison, stevie wonder and many more, i gots things to do (like i already said, and now am foolishly saying again... hey, so what, lots of love songs sing the same thing over and over again).... so i'll just post one...
might not be your cup of cocoa, but your hub-dude will dig it....
Can think of two -- Climax Blues Band "I Love You" and Gerry Rafferty "Right down the Line"
What I like about both of them is that the relationships in them are solid, established relationships with deep devotion rather than the passion of the start of the relationshp.
Yep.. easy to listen, good song. He has a great voice, a certain different kind of quality.. cant explain it more than that. Like the music too. The only Gerry Rafferty song I was aware of was Baker Street..
G'day .. thanks fro the song. An artist I wasn't aware of but what a gorgeous voice. I will be remembering to check out some more of her on You tube.. thats the best thing about sharing music on line, it gives us a chance to discover new artists.
Dave, nice song. I dont know alot of Chris Rea's work.. but I know there was one in particular that I really liked wayyy back.. but I cant find anything on Youtube to jog my memory as to what that specific song was. He has a very easy listening sound doesn't he... Liked the song, thanks.
wow.. love the guitar work.. ( at the beginning the notation reminded me a little of In the Arms of The Angel by Sarah Mclaughlin, you too??)
Nice lyrics .. but its the guitar work that I really enjoyed here. Thanks David.
totally loved the Al Green "Let's stay together" vid. As an artist there would be no greater flattery as to have the audience participation such as in that clip... He has a great voice.. is a great showman too it would appear. Another Classic in that one.
I have had a great time this morning listening to all of these.. and I know in the future I will do so again.. so keep them coming if you have more to share. !!
aahhh Cass.. lets hope you stay in that frame of mind for quite some time!! My pleasure..its great getting everyone's feedback, hearing new music Id not other wise hear... I enjoyed it very much also.
Sleep well.. enjoyed hanging with you and your friends this afternoon, thanks
yikes.. two mush-heads.. angie for posting this blog, cassie for.. well... just cuz she's often that way..
just took keerah out and now i'm 'bout to zzz, but not befo' one mo'...
cuz i forgot to tell you... glenn messaged me earlier.. said how you're crazy... but then added how he's crazy boutchoo.. so without further ado... here's to the crazy aussie two..
annnd since you said way up above 'feel free to post as many as you wish'... i gots another...
actually, taking this from mimer's recent blog, and the more i watch it, the more i realize it's the ULTIMATE love song... (if n' ya likes reubens that is)...
mmm .. thanks Cass... Unfortunately Bruce Willis isn't singing .. that guy oozes sex appeal.. I dont care how old he is, he doesnt seem to age. Cant say the same for Aerosmith's Tyler.. shudders.. although his daughter Liv is stunning.
This Movie was on TV the other weekend, Glenn and I watched it for like the 5555th time.. ( slight exageration perhaps). AND Ben Aflleck is in the movie .. mmmmmm
Focusing on the actual song now.. its a good song, I recall when it was first released it got loads of airplay here in Australia.. as everywhere world wide Im assuming. Some really lovely lyrics. Good choice Cass, and I agree.. some really great listening here. I left you a list of links on my guest book.. some of my Savage Garden fav's.. did you manage to check any of them out OR were you too busy "Knowing your place" and setting the house in order??.. cooking the evening meal for Steve and most importantly .. choosing the right ribbon for your hair?
(for anyone who thinks thos remarks above are kinda weird.. they tie in to a blog that Cass posted about changing view in society over the last few decades)..
Good Lord Dave(id).. ((rolls eyes)).. you and my Brett would get along just famously.
Anchor Man is one of Bretts favourite movies.. sad isnt it. !! hahaha
Despite myself (yesterday whilst viewing the clip on Mims' comment section) I did have a few giggles. Im not watching it now though.. no no no.. I have to much to do for that silly caper.. might watch it a little bit later this evening.. I said MIGHT
thank you for the songs (not this one) .. hahaha, but as I said to you last night, I have really enjoyed them.
well... yeah.. ya said last night you liked 'crazy love'.... not that i checked to see if u wrote that here... nah, i'm not that obsessed to look at this page every three minutes to see if you've yet said you liked the 'warm love' song.. such a beautiful song.. nope, i'm not wondering about that..
(so i guess i'll just go look for some love song will ferrel sings in 'talladega nights' or sumpin)
some minutes later.... no love song could i find in 'taladega nights'... (which i liked better than 'anchor man') but i found a fine tune from 'step brothers' (which i reeeeeeeally liked).. the songs called 'boats and hoes'... so it'd be one glenn likes, cuz, ya know, he works on a boat n' all... but instead i'll go with this sweet lil melody from 'buddy the elf'... well, the song's not a love song per se, but the two do fall in love by the end of the movie so i say it's a legit song to post cuz it helped get them to feeling da love..
awwww wow Cass.. thats gorgeous..I don't believe I have ever heard that song, Although I really like Bon Jovi ..
ReplyDeleteGreat clip too.. with the older couple. mmm and Italy's, Trevi Fountain..supurb!
Feel free to post as many as you wish.. really like that one, thanks.
