OMG!I've been trying...UNsuccessfully... for years to learn guitar with my own two hnds. This man is amazing. And yes... an inspiration!
came back sunday and saw u'd done sumpin on sole music... figured i'd get here at some point... thought it was gonna b a fish playing.. then, as u've said you're not quite the world's best speller, thought maybe u meant 'soul' music, since u'd said it was inspiring... so now, finally here.. both words work.. the dude has soul while playing with da soles of his feet... amazing soul and talent, indeed.. i'd seen this vid a year ago and included it in a blog as to how some people who have less than what most have can do more than what most people do.. his name's mark goffeney... from the san diego, cal, area... there was a 9-min long video showing him doing bits of various songs, including playing with his group, 'the big toe band' and a lil documentary/tribute to him.. can't find it right now but i'll keep looking.. for now, here's him solo doing 'kryptonite'..
still looking.. but here's another i like... a great tune by an incredible musician..
stiiiiiiill looking for the docu/tribute... here's one with his 'big toe band'... i'm thinking he wrote the song, but not sure..
nope.. not finding it... maybe i stored it in my favorites.. will check there after posting this one... this one i dig... the marley melody....
Hi yu David... sorry for getting back to you so late here.. thanks for the clips. amazing isnt he. When I first discoverd this guy on You tube I did some "googling" and I found the link to his band.. It was a couple of years back and I had foregotten the bands name. Thanks for yr comments etc .. :)
Jen.. maybe you would have more luck with your feet??
Yr comments made me think of a blog I posted a while back. I found it amazingly inspiring. Ive included the clip here incase anyone would like to view it.
hi again... yep, someone else i know did a blog re this guy..... it's humbling to see both mark and nick live how they do with what they've got... nick gives his glory to god, i'm not sure about mark... and, i honestly don't think i could have either of these guys' spirit and enthusiasm were i in their position... hope i'm never challenged, via an accident or illness, to have to face that...
Amen to that David... !!!!
