Google Art Project.. .. just like "being" there

This is pretty awesome.. its just like street view.. you can take virtual tours... zoom in to your hearts content..

Im headed to the Acropolis Museum first...

    I've been having fun with this thing, too. They already have quite a lot of art for viewing. I still think I'd rather actually go to the gallery if I have the option, but this is a great way to learn about the art and see things you can't easily get to. I would love it if they would do this for scholarly books and things that are normally sequestered from the public because they are so fragile. But then you have to go to the library or wherever and get special privileges before you can view the objects. When things are online like this it is like opening a book on your shelf.
