With 9,800 eggs and growing, I wonder how much time they spend doing this every year. They look nice, I must say.

I appreciate the "commoners" doing that with Easter Eggs, and, while I don't especially like the sense of entitlement they represent, I also like the Fabergé eggs made for the Russian Czar and his family in the late 19th and early 20th century.

http://www.google.com/search?q=faberge+egg&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ANCCT_uINqrV0QGXgJXWBw&ved=0CFYQsAQ&biw=1303&bih=707Stormy Weatherhttp://brycecoddnormal.multiply.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5027161356290948458.post-79847572428426099302012-04-07T07:50:53.000-07:002012-04-07T07:50:53.000-07:00aww thanks Michele.. Hope your Easter is enjoyable.

Im so pleased that you shared the link .. Initially I was of the impression that the eggs were left in the tree from year to year.. but from the article you posted, it would appear that they are stored each year until Easter and then they are hung .. what a HUGE task that would be. .. they would have to be very fragile wouldnt they, it says that the internal part of the egg is "blown" out of the eggs before painting.Angie Lhttp://yummmalishus.multiply.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5027161356290948458.post-86912871526667851462012-04-06T18:43:52.000-07:002012-04-06T18:43:52.000-07:00Thanks very much Sheree.. I boiled min in onion peel and it turned a gorgeous tan colour. Then I started scratching the surface to create fine lines of white to form a pattern. My sisters boyfriend wound up spending a good couple of hours doing intricate designs on it.. it turned out wonderful and my teacher was of the impression that I was extremely artistic lol ...Angie Lhttp://yummmalishus.multiply.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5027161356290948458.post-40022387110920956682012-04-06T18:38:18.000-07:002012-04-06T18:38:18.000-07:00Hi Foxberryjule, Im pretty sure he has a whole lot...Hi Foxberryjule, Im pretty sure he has a whole lot more energy than Im feeling this Easter.
